Journaling and rating all my past rental experience! When I came out working as a fresh grad, obviously the budget is limited. So my choice is – location over comfort, and I’ve never regretted making this decision. Renting close to your workplace is so much more important, especially when you’re spending significant hours stuck in traffic, potentially losing precious time that could be put to better use.
My subsequent moves saw gradual improvements in living conditions as my income grew, first from side hustles and then from a thriving YouTube channel. I upgraded my budget from RM 600 per month to RM 750 per month, and immediately I saw a huge improvement in living quality.
By my third rental, I finally realized the dream of renting a spacious condo in the heart of KL. This time, I have got a whole unit to myself at a discounted price of RM 2,800 per month, pretty sure I’ve slashed a great deal because the market rate of the same unit starts at RM 4,500 per month!
In conclusion, my experience speaks to the transformative power of strategic renting. While my experience may not be applied on yours, it highlights the importance of taking decisive actions, optimizing productivity, and embracing opportunities that come with staying closer to work.
